How can you help?
Come along to any race and help with set-up, course layout, registration, timing, cutting up fruit, drinks table or pull-down. These jobs don’t require any particular skills, just a bit of your time!. Ask family and friends to come along and support you – by helping out during the race!
Volunteer Coordinator
Position Vacant
- Recruit and recommend the appointment of volunteers to roles that suit them
- Ensure all volunteers are recognised for their efforts
Equipment / Maintenance Officers
Marcel deKievith and Larry Lawson
- Be responsible for purchasing equipment
- Ensure maintenance of equipment
Grants Coordinators
Mel Akmentins and John Vaughan
- Seek grants and subsidies to support the vision of the Cairns Roadies
- Present funding proposals to the management committee
Social Events Coordinator
Position Vacant
- Organise social events such as the Christmas in July; Mt Haig weekend away; Relay for Life and Presentation night
Marketing, promotions, publicity, media officer
Position Vacant
- Develop and maintain local media contacts in radio, newspaper and Internet
- Develop media releases concerning upcoming events, interesting personalities and individual achievements
Administration/Website
Position Vacant
- Administration tasks (e.g. updating forms, photocopying)
- Maintain the CRR website
