There is an opening of 2-3 places in the North Australian Team for athletes to compete in the Open Women’s 3000m Steeple Chase at the Oceania Area Championships, Cairns, 27-29 June 2012. To be eligible athletes must meet the qualifying standard in an competition between 1 August 2011 to 9 May 2012 . (i.e.13.00 minutes). Athletes that have never participated in a 30000m Steeple Chase before and are interested in doing so should send in their times for road / track events that are close to that distance (i.e. 5000m in 22.30).
