So far we have 33 people registered for tomorrow night’s Earth Hour run. The Earth Hour is a free social run, and is in its third year. The fun run takes runners up to the lookout at Park Ridge to watch Cairns turn its lights off at 8:30pm. This is a non-timed social event, which begins at Glenoma Park, runs to Park Ridge, and back again (about 10km). For those after a shorter run, there will be pick up point at the bottom of Copperlode Road (about 5km).
Those running 10km, will need to meet at Glenoma Park (which is on the left just past the Cool Waters Caravan Park on the Western Arterial Road) at 7:30pm We will be starting to run at 7:45pm sharp. Those planning to run 5km will need to meet at bottom of Copperlode Road at 7:45pm. The 10km runners will come past and pick up the 5km runs at around 8pm. Together, we will then make our way through Park Ridge up to the look out.
