Little Street Series
Race One (Saturday 12 April) – 10km, 5km and 2.5 km (for under 12’s)
Little Street is a two race series that consist of a fast and flat’ figure eight run’ with a 3km and 2km loop to make the first 5km. Then we do it again for 10km. The run is mostly on footpaths, but some sections are on the road. These distances will start at 4:30pm.
For children who are in the under 12’s age group (those aged up to 11 by 31 December 2014) there will be a separate 2.5km run. We are unable to have young children on the roads even with full parental supervision (due to insurance requirements). Others are welcomed to join in this distance as well. This race will start at 4:00pm.
Please register on-line (link can be found on the events page on the CRR web page). On-line registrations will close on Friday 11th April at 7:00pm. There will be no option to enter on the day. It would be appreciated if you can register early so the club can work out numbers for catering and volunteers.
We are also calling out for volunteers who can assist with set-up / pull down; recording and timing; street marshalling; course making; shopping (prior to the event); cutting up food at the race. Some volunteer duties require assistance from those not running. As we saw with The Rocks, many volunteers made the event run smoothly. For parents who children are running in the under 12’s race, the club seeks your assistance with marshalling / timing on the 2.5km course.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you can help out.
There will be trophies for series winners (male and female) in each distance at the end of race 2 (Sunday 10 May)
